Interrupting Chicken was a Caldecott Honor Book this year so I think I was expecting some amazing artwork. This is a cute little story, but I had a couple of problems with it. As the father reads bedtime classics to his son, the chicken CONSTANTLY butts in in the middle of the story, shouts out the solution to the problem and ending to the story, and the begs for another. I didn't care for the artwork much, which is why I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars. He is so excited to just blurt out what he wants to say. This story is cute and it reminds me of the nephew.
